Caution about using oil of oregano & a testimonial

I have posted in my previous posts, I am NOT a doctor. However, I am also not promoting oil of oregano ( I have absolutely ZERO affiliation with any company- I'm just a stay at home mom trying to share my journey ) or puriya cream. These are just the products I used that helped clear my daughter and others that have eczema. I also know, this doesn't work for everyone either. I am just sharing my own personal journey so please use your own discretion whether or not this regiment is for you/your child.

Warning about oil of oregano

As for oil of oregano, this is a VERY POTENT OIL.  If you do not dilute this with olive oil, it will BURN your skin rather than help it. Do not feed it to your child either. It is way too strong for their little tummy's to handle. Lastly, do not put it near their eye. It will sting like no other. I used a TINY and I mean at first almost a tiny amount that could have seemed somewhat insignificant at first when I used this on my baby. But, I found that even with that tiny amount- it helped with my baby's weeping eczema. Here are some facts to read about oil of oregano that I found. Sorry, it's so ghetto. I'm not a professional blogger so I'm just putting links to some of the articles I read below. My point is, please do your own research and see if this is for you.

Once the eczema is gone, you do not need to keep applying the oil of oregano mix onto the skin. You can just hydrate with the puriya cream. We still use that on my daughter because it's a good cream in general. We stopped using the oil of oregano mix a long time ago. I only used it on her if she had random flare ups. I called it my natural "steroid" mix. It went away within days which was so nice to see.

With that said, I am going to share a couple of pictures of my friend's daughter who started developing eczema at 2 months. She contacted me before going to the pediatrician because she didn't want to start using steroids on her 2 month old. These are the pictures she sent of her daughter's before and after. She wanted me to share just to show that even a 2 month old can use oil of oregano as long as it is heavily diluted. Also, she used the puriya cream to moisturize. That's all she used to clear up her daughter's skin in less than a month. I am so happy that this worked for her baby as well. If you use this regiment, please send me any before and after pictures. It helps to know that it is working for others as well.

This is what her oil of oregano + olive oil mix looked like. It is majority olive oil in here. Like 99%.

Here is how she looked before she used anything

Products we used & R's skin today @ 16 months

I've been asked several times which products we used when my LO had eczema. Here's some recommendations. It's just a couple of products I researched and used that helped my LO when she had eczema. I still use these products on her today because they are great. I put links on here from amazon so that it could be easily found. I also wanted to show how clear my R's skin is today. We do not need to use the oil of oregano regiment anymore. We still use the shampoo/body wash, detergent, and moisturizer regularly.

                                                                No more eczema

Oil of oregano

Oil of oregano

I went to a local vitamin shop and the owner of this shop told me all about the different oil of oreganos. He saw my daughter's face and recommended this one for the following reasons. 1) He said that this was from a very reputable company with good quality products. I also liked that it was already diluted with extra virgin olive oil since oil of oregano itself is super potent. Of course, I mixed this with more extra virgin olive oil because it was so strong, but this product saved my baby's skin. Forever grateful for it.

Shampoo/Body Wash

Wash with water

I found this through another mom who's LO had eczmea as a baby too. I used honest company, aveeno, seventh generation before using this. I liked this the best because this product was super gentle and had zero scent. I was very cautious about using any product with my daughter, but this was a good purchase for us.

Moisturizer

Puriya Cream

This cream was God sent. It has over 4k reviews on amazon with 4.5 stars. Well deserved reviews and stars. This cream really moisturized my daughter's skin and the best part was that I knew more than half of the ingredients.

Ingredients:
Purified Water, Organic Aloe Vera, High Oleic Safflower Oil, Shea Nut Butter (Raw), Shea Nut Butter (Refined), Avocado Oil, Vegetable Glycerin, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Amaranth Oil, Cetyl Alcohol (Plant Derived), Jojoba Oil, Honey, A blend of Lavender, Peppermint, Chamomile and Tangerine Essential Oils, MSM, Vitamin E Oil, Vitamin A, Phenoxyethanol Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Carrot Seed Oil, Vitamin C, Rosemary Extract, Potassium Sorbate, Titanium Dioxide, Hexylene Glyc

Detergent

All Free & Clear

This detergent was recommended by my pediatrician. It has zero scent and I poured just a little bit and did an extra wash for her clothes so no detergent was left on the clothes. I stopped using anything scented & any fabric softeners. I wanted to make sure nothing was irritating my baby's skin.

Dead Sea Salt

Dead sea salt

I used this in the very  beginning of my baby's 15 minute bath ritual. I poured in a bunch praying that the dead sea salt would heal my baby. I don't know if this helped or if it was just doing a hot bath and getting rid of the toxins that helped her heal. Either way, it did not harm my baby so I am putting this in my product list.

I hope that this list helps anyone/mama's out there that are suffering with LO's that have eczema. Life was so hard and frustrating then..I am so happy that my LO is completely eczema free now. She is also allergy free ( she was allergic to a bunch of nuts, dust, dairy, etc ) now. I will share that in my next post too!
